Introducing new feature in the ClientsFirst Technology – Google+

So you’ve heard of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter but what about Google+? This is the new social networking tool introduced by Google, which is fast growing in popularity. As Google Fellow, Amit Singhal, noted on the official Google Blog: “We’re transforming Google into a search engine that understands not only content, but also people and relationships.”

As I write this blog, research from the US has revealed that Facebook user satisfaction has fallen recently, while Google+ has taken off. On November 7, Google+ opened its doors to businesses, allowing them to build pages and encouraging them to increase their following.

We believe that Google+ is only going to become an increasingly important social network for professional advisory firms, which is why we’ve added a one-click G+ sharing button (similar to facebook likes) in The ClientsFirst Technology. So now your recipients can easily share your news on the network.

We’ve added a ‘+’ button to your email editor. As Google continues to change the way it ranks information, there is a slow move away from ‘the search function’ being one of the biggest ranking factors in Search Engine Optimisation. As recipients of your newsletter choose to use the G+ functionality and share your news, then the link to SEO means that you could benefit in ranking terms if +1s or followers become a ranking factor.
